Martin Stricker studied European Ethnology, Russian Language and Literature and Film Studies in Marburg and Berlin. Since 2003 he has been in charge of and developed the databases and information systems of the collection-related projects at the Helmholtz Zentrum für Kulturtechnik, including the Worldwide Database of University Museums & Collections (UMAC) and the Information System University Collections in Germany.
