Christopher Li works at the Hermann von Helmholtz-Zentrum für Kulturtechnik at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He studied musicology and ethnomusicology in Berlin. After completing his studies, he worked as a research fellow at the Musikinstrumenten-Museum SIMPK. In 2010, he curated the special exhibition “Faszination Gitarre” at the Musikinstrumenten-Museum. He completed his PhD in 2019 at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with a dissertation on the life and music of George Harrison.
Research interests: Transcultural musicology, aesthetics and analysis of pop music, organology.
