Workshop series “Young Forum for Collection and Object Research” (2016-2021)

The workshop series “Young Forum for Collection and Object Research” was organised from 2016 to 2021 at five different locations as a cooperation between the Coordination Office for Academic University Collections in Germany and the Association for University Collections – funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.

The series aims to create a platform for young researchers to network across disciplines and to reflect on questions of object-based research, especially in scientific collections. The central concern is to sustainably encourage young researchers to work with objects and object collections, to acquire object competence and to learn to think about interdisciplinary projects.

Within the framework of the workshops, research questions, methods and results are presented and discussed with other young researchers and experts.
