Prof. Dr. phil Elsbeth Bösl studied history and archaeology. She received her doctorate at the LMU Munich in 2003 with a study on the history of disability policy in the Federal Republic of Germany. In her post-doc phase at the TU Munich, she dedicated herself to aspects of diversity in the history of technology, especially the categories gender and disability. In her habilitation thesis, published in 2017, she examines the emergence of interdisciplinary aDNA research from the perspective of the history of science. Since 2017 she has been a private lecturer at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich. Her research focuses on the history of science and technology, gender history and disability history.
